ScribeUp

For solo OTs and speech pathologists in Australia

Your notes are written by the time you pack up.

ScribeUp listens to the session and writes the NDIS progress note, mapped to your client’s goals. Nothing is ever stored.

Progress note

M.R. · 12 Aug · 45 min · Home visit

Goal 1.2

Independently fasten shoes using the bunny-ear method

Completed the first loop independently in 2 of 3 attempts. Task initiated without the visual prompt card.

Plan

Next session

Trial a textured grip aid. Parent to practise the first loop once daily.

How it works

Four steps, and you only do two of them.

  1. 01

    Get consent, then hit record

The app asks for your client's consent before every recording. No consent, no recording — it's part of the flow, not a checkbox you can wave past.

  2. 02

    It listens while you work

Your session is captured securely on your own device the whole time you're recording — a dropped connection or a closed laptop doesn't cost you anything.

  3. 03

The note writes itself against your goals

You enter each client's NDIS goals once. Every note maps what happened back to them, and flags when one looks achieved — you confirm the update, it never changes a goal's status on its own.

  4. 04

You read it, change it, paste it

It's a draft and you're the clinician. Edit anything, then copy it into your EHR — the Chrome extension keeps the recorder open in a side panel next to it, so there's no tab-switching.

From session to progress note, without the typing.

Goal 1.2

Independently fasten shoes using the bunny-ear method

Completed the first loop independently in 2 of 3 attempts. Verbal prompt required for the second loop. Task initiated without the visual prompt card — a change from the May review.

Goal 2.4

Sustain a tripod pencil grasp for writing tasks

Tripod grasp held for approximately four minutes before reverting to a four-finger grip. Fatigue observed toward the end of the task.

We can’t leak what we never kept.

Most tools promise to protect your session data. We went the other way: we don’t have any. Audio, transcript and the generated note exist for exactly as long as it takes to write the note, then they’re gone.

Not archived. Not anonymised. Not held for thirty days. Gone.

What we keep

  • Your account and login
  • Your subscription status
  • The NDIS goals you type in yourself
  • A count of notes generated this month

What we never keep

  • Session audio
  • Transcripts
  • The notes we generate
  • Anything your client said
  • Any record of what happened in the room

Written for your discipline

An OT note and a speech note aren’t the same note.

Each discipline gets its own report structure and vocabulary, not a generic summary with your profession’s name on top. Choose from six templates every session — Standard, SOAP, DAP, a goal-linked NDIS Progress Note, NDIS FCA Mode, or an End of Plan Summary that covers every goal on the plan — the format changes, the goal-mapping doesn’t.

  • Occupational TherapyFunctional capacity language, task analysis, equipment and home-mod notes.
  • Speech PathologyGoal-linked observations across articulation, language and AAC use.
  • PsychologyComingSession summaries that stay clinical without over-recording content.
  • PhysiotherapyComingMovement, tolerance and progression against mobility goals.
  • Exercise PhysiologyComingProgramme adherence, load and functional change over time.

Fits your EHR

Your practice software stays exactly where it is.

ScribeUp isn’t a practice management system and has no interest in becoming one. Your EHR stays the permanent record. We hand you a finished note and get out of the way — copy it across, or use the Chrome extension to record from a side panel next to the note field you already have open, then copy it across from there.

The billing questions

What counts as a note?
One successfully generated report, counted the moment it's generated, not when you copy or export it. Regenerating or editing the same session's report doesn't count again, only the first generation does. That's the same way the free trial is counted.
How does the free trial work?
Your first 5 notes are free, with no card required and no clock running. Write them this week or over the next two months — the trial ends when you've used the fifth one, not on a date.
What happens if I go over?
Nothing stops. Extra notes are charged at $1.50 each and appear on your next invoice. You'll never be cut off in the middle of a session, and you'll see a warning in the app well before you hit your limit.
Can I change or cancel?
Change tier or cancel any time from your account, effective at the end of the billing period. No lock-in contract, no exit call.

Get your evenings back.

Try it on your next session. If the note isn’t good enough to paste, you’ve spent nothing and you can walk away.
